What is this? A Drone for ants!?
Researchers at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) have created a flying drone roughly the size of a one cent coin. The robot takes inspiration from the fly, one of “the most agile flying creatures on Earth.” The product is a result of the use of high-power-density piezoelectric muscles for flight. The robot weighs only 80-milligrams and the scale of an insect.
